(Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer)
Acting Adventures
Through drama, movement and art, students learn to develop their imagination, enhance their verbal and non-verbal expression and improve focus, concentration and following direction.
Movement, Mime & Mask
Students examine the Method from the outside in as they explore the senses and behavior through physical storytelling. Students learn about the physicality of acting and creating a character. An adapted classical fairytale, fable or myth will be presented at the end of the session.
Musical Theatre
Broadway songs and dances come alive as children experience the magic of musical theatre. Selections from Broadway musicals are used as a foundation for learning basic vocal technique. Showstopping Broadway routines teach coordination, timing, physical expression and body awareness. The choreographed songs are presented as an integrated part of the monologues and scenes.
Stage Production
A total theatrical experience from casting to curtain call. Each student is given the opportunity to put into practice all they have learned in their acting class. At rehearsal, students challenge their imagination while taking risks and making artistic choices. At the end of the session, friends and family are invited to a performance in the Stage Lee Theatre.
